A Santa Clara Pueblo black pottery vase with a highly burnished surface resulting in a smooth shiny exterior. Deeply carved repetitive design of kiva step with matte texture. Signed on bottom "M* Santa Clara Pueblo". Measures apprx 4-1/2"H x 5-1/2 at girth.

Delightful stoneware covered mug assumes the shape of a jolly monk. His textured robes are an eggplant color. Stein has round foot and handle with lever to allow monks head to flip back. Lid lip is rimed with pewter. Impressed with 61 on bottom. Measures apprx 7-1/2"H x 4"W.

A lidded cheese plate with high gloss finish, hand painted in teals and highlights in gold. Lid with handle in leaf form. Overall apprx 6-1/2" x 10" x 8". Faint blue mark on bottom of plate and interior of lid is marked by the decorator "7".

Rookwood pottery vase features three square columns, of differing lengths, each with a top opening. Glazed a runny stone blue. Bottom bears Rookwood company mark as well as XXXII 6121. Measures apprx 7-1/2"H x 3-3/4"W.

311. Lot of Three French Porcelain Boxes


Lot includes three hand painted porcelain boxes. 1) Rectangular baby blue box features a lid design of a peacock and flower blossoms. White interior has blooms in center of lid and bottom. Hinged lid banded by metal with a fleur-de-lis clasp. Measures apprx 1-1/2"H x 4-1/4". Bottom bears a round red stamp that reads "Made in France PBS". 2) Pink oval shaped box features a lid design of a floral bouquet accented with scrolling gilt details. White interior also has gilt designs. Hinged lid with metal banding and leaf clasp. Measures apprx 3"H x 6-1/4"W. Gilt stamp on bottom reads JD France. 3) Round bowl with ormolu mountings features a design of cherubs in the clouds. Some cherubs appear to be playing instruments or brandishing flames. Hinged lid opens to reveal a flower painted on the interior bottom. Sit on tripod feet with a pine cone finial. Measures apprx 5" H x 5"W. Painted images signed, Paul. Bottom bears two blue company stamps.

Large, coarse earthenware jar from New England. Jug is glazed with a cinnamon red and yellow slip trailed designs. Simple pottery from this time and of this style were almost purely utilitarian to meet household storage needs. Measures apprx 8-1/2"H x 7"W.

313. Copeland Teapot and Stand, English, late 19th Century


Lovely spode tea pot and stand in beige and green. Features a neoclassical relief design of maidens with flowers. Shoulders of pot have an impressed wove pattern and around rim, a leafy chain. Lid has fern spears radiating around finial with a star bust shape. Liner has a boarder of floral swags. Pot measures apprx 5-1/2"H x 8-1/4"W, stand is apprx 6"D. Bottom of both pieces marked Copeland, Late Spode, No. 180288, England.
