Girl with Hat. Watercolor/ pastel (?) on grey paper, framed under glass. Incomplete study depicts an upward gazing girl. Her face and collar have initial paint washes while the rest remains in loose outlines. Figure is evocative of the solid characters which inhabit watercolorist Winslow Homer's (1836-1910) great American out-of-doors. Paper measures apprx 6"H x 4"W. In gold wood frame, entire item measures apprx 9-1/2"H x 7-1/2"W.
