Three watercolors on paper, framed under glass from Cleveland artist. 1) Rural Barn. Country scene of a brown barn in green surroundings. Signed on lower left. Measures apprx 10"H x 10-1/2"W. Verso has artist information. With black frame and gold filet, entire item measures apprx 11"H x 11-1/2"W. 2) Hidden Pond. Quick watercolor depicts a round body of water surrounded by trees and grass. Paint is thinly applied and palette is mostly in blues and greens with hints of yellow and purple. Signed lower left. Measures apprx 18-1/2"H x 13-3/4"W. Verso holds artist biographical information as well as a a photocopy of a complementary painting called "A Summer Day on Lake Erie". In wooden frame, entire item measures apprx 20"H x 15-1/4"W. 3) Tree house. Purple branches and square structures share compositional space. Spots of white paint appear as though light through leaves. Signed on lower left in graphite. Measures apprx 13"H x 17-1/2"W. Biographical information on verso. In simple wooden frame, measures apprx 15-1/4"H x 19-3/4"W. Linley was a graduate of the Cleveland School of Art and studied under Henry Keller.
