Classical head. Graphite on paper, framed under glass. Delicately drawn profile of a classical youth. Probably drawn after a statue fragment as eyes are blank and modeling is smooth. This type of work was done by fine art students on location in museums where life-drawing and observation was practiced by rendering pictures of artifacts. Paper measures apprx 11"H x 9"W. Unsigned. In blue mat and decorative gilt frame, entire item measures apprx 18-1/4"H x 16-1/4"W.
