"The Dog and the Crocodile". Woodcut print from two pine blocks, on paper, 1950, framed under glass. Edition of 250 plus 10 on Zebu wove paper, printed by the artist. Fantastic modern image depicts a large crocodile and a smaller dog. Titled, signed and dated, 50, on lower right. Measures apprx 16-1/2"H x 11-1/2"W. Frasconi is well known for his production of children's books including his woodcut illustrations. With pink liner, straw matting and wood frame, entire item measures apprx 26-1/2"H x 21"W. Verso bears a tag from the Print Club of Cleveland, Publication No. 39, 1952. 150/200 Sold $184.00 back to catalog |
