Beautiful rug made with intense colors and precise, tiny stitches. Features a central medallion marked by zig-zag lines and an stripped pattern alternating between bands of red and gradated colors. Wool on cotton weft, very tight weave. Fringe is knotted cotton string. Rugs of this sort became highly desirable in the deco age due to the popularity of Mexicana fashion pioneered by Diego Rivera and Frieda Kahlo.
