627. Navajo Blanket, American, circa 1920's -1940's

Beautiful transitional-style rug features a large diamond-shaped central medallion flanked by two smaller ones on a heather grey ground. Colors include black pink, pea green, and red. Ends are marked by a series of stripes and a knotted fringe. Tight wool weave on a cotton wove. Possibly from Chimayo. Measures apprx 83"H x 52"W.
