453. A Iradj Moini for Oscar de la Renta Parrot Brooch

A fine costume piece by Iradj Moini is the couture jeweler for Oscar de la Renta whose designs were featured in the TROP exhibit at the Louvre. All of Iradj's jewelry is handmade of brass and/or copper wire with imported materials that are individually hand set. No two pieces are exactly the same and his jewelry is collected by women of fashion worldwide. Interesting piece features a carved "jadite medallion" with a designe of a bird in branches, an amber-looking stone, and a diamond-looking stone. Measures apprx 3-1/2"H x 2-1/2"W. Marked on back with makers name.
