"Eaux Fortes Nouvelles". A 19th Century Societe des Aquafortistes etching on tissue. The Societe des Aqua Fortistes was founded by the French publisher A. Cadart. Image depicts a statuary figure holding a sign with the words of the title. Artist name appears on lower left. Chifflart studied with Cogniet at the Ecole Des Beaux Arts. He debuted at the Paris Salon in 1845. Measures apprx 14-1/4"H x 9-3/4"W.
