358. Knife Box and Twenty-Two Dinner Knives, English, late 19th/early 20th Century
Lot includes twenty two knives from Henry Rogers Sons & Co. Cutlers, Shefield. Set includes six flat handed models and 16 round handles with 12 being lunch sized and 10 of dinner length. Knives measure apprx 8-1/4"L and 9-7/8"L. All handles from pale yellow celluloid although light striations make to look like bone. All blades from stainless steel and marked with company name. Fantastic flat wear wooden chest from Henry Rogers, Sons & Co. Chest features three tiers of compartments lined with green velvet for utensil storage. Inside of lid bears plaque with company name and top has blank label for monogram. Drawers and sides have brass pulls. Dimensions of chest are apprx 9-1/4"H x 16-1/4"L x 13"W.

Classical Scene. Copper electotype medium relief panel, mounted to wooden frame. Seven nude figures relaxing in classical poses admire a small statue. The setting appears to be a balcony overlooking the surrounding hilly countryside. Signed and dated, 1906 on lower right. Also stamped 20. Measures apprx 7-3/4"H x 21"W. In wooden frame, entire item measures apprx 10-3/4"H x 24"W.

360. Tammany Mechanical Bank, circa 1875
Movable cast iron bank made by J.E. Stevens Co. Male politician/banker takes your coin in his right hand and deposits it into his pocked with a grateful nod of his head. Seated man wears a mustache and bow tie and sits on an open work chair that reads Tammany Bank. Back of seat reads Patd Dec 23 1873. Screw bottom reads Patd June 8 ,1875. Measures apprx 6"H x 4-1/4"W.

361. Mechanical Elephant Bank, late 19th/ early 20th Century
Grey elephant cast iron coin bank wears a yellow blanket and red strap. A coin is inserted into his howdah causing his trunk to wag. No indication of maker or patten year although reads "PAT APD FOR" inside his rear left leg. Screw head visible on left side. Measures apprx 4-1/2"H x 6-1/2"L.

Charming cast iron still bank in the architectural form of a nine story bank building. Lattice of windows are pierce work. Features a small dome and round roof final and reads "Bank" above coin slot. Originally painted silver color. Visible joining screw. Measures apprx 5"H x 4"L x 2-1/4"W.

363. Lot of Two Still Banks, late 19th/early 20th Century
Lot of two cast iron piggy banks. 1) Lucky bank with horse shoe and horse head profile ends and an open work barrel almost like a lottery machine. Central screw keeps the entire container in tact. Ends originally painted gold. Measures apprx 3-1/4"H x 2-3/4"W. 2) Safe bank in the square form of a safe box. Front face painted red and gold with a key hole. Sides have pierce work lattice and coin slot is on back. Bottom reads Patd. Mar 31-91. Measures apprx 3-1/4"H x 2-1/2"L x 2-1/4"W.

1) Rocking Cradle. Sweet bank assumes the form of a sleeping child in a rocking cradle with an on looking perched bird. Coin slot on back side. Measures apprx 3-1/4"H x 3-3/4"L x 2-3/4"W. 2) Armored tank. Still bank in the shape on an army tank. Originally painted gold with coin slot in turret. Sides read Tank Bank U.S.A. 1918. In patriotic spirit of wartime as WWI lasted from 1914-1918. Measures apprx 2-1/4"H x 4-1/4"L. 3) Bust of famous American, Benjamin Franklin, know for his motto "A penny saved is a penny earned". Back reads "The Franklin Life Insurance Company, Founded 1884". Measures apprx 5"H x 3-5/8"L x 2-1/4"W.
