Jian-type stoneware bowl with an oil glaze in dark blue with light greenish striations. Rim is brown. Control glaze around foot. Measures apprx 2-1/4"H x 5"D. Provenance: estate of Mr. Gordon K. Mott from Cleveland, Ohio.

Delicate footed bowl features a flared interior rim decoration of blossoming cherry branches with a reclining figure in the centre. Exterior features a landscape populated by courtly women engaging in outdoor activities such as watering plants. Exterior of rim marked with clouds. Bottom has apocryphal mark of the reign of Cheng Hua and remnants of a red export wax seal and a tag from a gallery in Toronto, Canada. Measures apprx 4"H x 8-1/2"W. Provenance: estate of Mr. Gordon K. Mott from Cleveland, Ohio.

Small blade from mint green jade with brown striations. Curved shape features delicate incised designs on each side such greek key curls and simple banding. Small hole in one side. Carved ivory figure accented with black pigment depicts the female bodhisattva of compassion, carrying book or scroll of prayers. She holds one hand up in a gesture of peace. A child, on her lower right, prays to her. With wooden oval stand, sculpture measures apprx 23"H.

Vases have scenes of a lovely woman dressed in a kimono. She carries a basket in her hands and looks back over her shoulder. Second vase features a scene with a royal woman seated in a throne with a flower-adorned sceptor. Remaining sections of the first vase feature a scenes of a mother bird drinking from a pond and the second vase has baby birds in a nest, both with various flowers and foliage. Vases signed with Japanese characters on square bottoms. Each vase measures apprx 10" H x 5" W.
