390. Architectural Cornice, Italian, circa 19th Century

Classical architectural element for wall mounting bears the biblical   adage "qui sine peccate est vestrvum primvs lapidem in iccam juciat" (Let he who is without sin cast the first stone) flanked by laurel branches. Wooden plank has been gilded with letters and decorative details in carved relief. Measures apprx 16-1/2"H x 84"L x 5"W.
