Lot includes: 1) A steel engraving frontis for Milton's poems "L'Allegro" and "Il Penseroso", odes extolling the contrasting temperaments of Mirth and Melancholy. Image measures apprx 5-1/4"H x 3-1/4. 2) Pair of steel engravings of an owl and a bat. Most likely from same publication as #1. Each image measures apprx 1-3/4"H x 3-1/8. 3) Book illustration of "De Moordt des Prinfen van Oranje, tot Delft in den Jaare, 1584". Engraving on laid paper by R de Hoge and Ian Lucken. Impression measures apprx 10-3/4"H x 13-1/2"W. 4) 19th Century Ornamental Objects: "A Chimney Piece, Plate No. 224" illustration from "Masterpieces of Industrial Art and Sculpture at the International Exhibition of 1862". Chromolithograph on paper, by J.B. Waring. Published in London, circa 1863, by Day and Son. Measures apprx 9-1/2"H x 12"W. With a certificate of Authenticity from Charles Edwin Puckett, Akron, Ohio.
