Seated figure carved of Jadeite. Smiling Buddha carries a Nenju or set of prayer beads in his right hand, and in his left hand a fruit, perhaps as a symbol of longevity; his belly is fat to indicate prosperity. Massive figure sits on a square wooden base. He measures (including base) apprx 20"H x 13"L x 20"W.
