| 413. Two English Milk Jugs, late 19th/early 20th Century
Lot includes two handled pitchers. 1) White china pitcher with a pressed mold decoration on both sides. Low relief scenes depict a skirted figure petting lions. Jug is accented with glaze details in forget-me-not blue and gilt. Handle in the form of a lion. Bottom unmarked. Measures apprx 6-1/2"H x 4"W. 2) Round jug features scenes of farm animals: horses and cows in white relief against a metallic orange glaze. Around rim is a twisted ribbon pattern in colors of yellow, blue and orange. Base glaze is very faintly blue/green. Measures apprx 5"H x 4-1/2"W.
