| 363. Lot of Two Still Banks, late 19th/early 20th Century
Lot of two cast iron piggy banks. 1) Lucky bank with horse shoe and horse head profile ends and an open work barrel almost like a lottery machine. Central screw keeps the entire container in tact. Ends originally painted gold. Measures apprx 3-1/4"H x 2-3/4"W. 2) Safe bank in the square form of a safe box. Front face painted red and gold with a key hole. Sides have pierce work lattice and coin slot is on back. Bottom reads Patd. Mar 31-91. Measures apprx 3-1/4"H x 2-1/2"L x 2-1/4"W. 150/250 Sold $166.75 back to catalog |
