| 364. Lot of Three Cast Iron Banks, late 19th/early 20th Century
1) Rocking Cradle. Sweet bank assumes the form of a sleeping child in a rocking cradle with an on looking perched bird. Coin slot on back side. Measures apprx 3-1/4"H x 3-3/4"L x 2-3/4"W. 2) Armored tank. Still bank in the shape on an army tank. Originally painted gold with coin slot in turret. Sides read Tank Bank U.S.A. 1918. In patriotic spirit of wartime as WWI lasted from 1914-1918. Measures apprx 2-1/4"H x 4-1/4"L. 3) Bust of famous American, Benjamin Franklin, know for his motto "A penny saved is a penny earned". Back reads "The Franklin Life Insurance Company, Founded 1884". Measures apprx 5"H x 3-5/8"L x 2-1/4"W. 150/250 Sold $143.75 back to catalog |
