547. A Samarkhand Area Carpet, circa 1920

Mid-sized carpet from the Kotan region. Carpet in yellow tones, like an Chobi palette, features a central panel marked with six geometric medallions and other shapes such as crowns and flowers. Five row boarder patterned with repetitive motifs. Colors are soft yellow, saffron, camel, rose and sage. Measures apprx 7'7"H x 5'6"W. Low wool pile.
