141. Unknown Artist, Continental, circa late 19th Century

Cupid tumbled down. Graphite on paper, framed under glass. Scene depicts Cupid lying on a ground of overturned pots, his arms outstretched. Another puto hovers above holding a fanfare trumpet in his fist. Verso bears a tag attributing the drawing to the school of Boucher. Paper measures apprx 9"H x 7"W. In gilt liner, silk mat and gold leaf frame, measures apprx 17-1/2"H x 15"W.
