Wooden carving of an old man. Formal bust sculpture of an aged male. Model wears a somber expression. In dark wood with mahogany stain. Measures apprx 12"H x 6"W. Signed on back and dated 1912. Krupka was born circa 1880 in the Rychnor area and came to the United States circa 1904 through Ellis Island. He died at the young age of 37 of consumption, leaving behind his children, all of whom were raised by friends of the family. 200/400 Sold $138.00 back to catalog |
