364. Albacaster Bust of a Blushing Girl, circa 20th Century
Finely hand-carved quaint alabaster bust of a blushing girl. She wears a winter hat and has an enchanting facial expression. Measures approx. 12"H x 10"W. This sculpture is probably Italian. Provenance: From the collection of Tom Wilson, Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Wilson's collection spans several decades and includes wonderful Art Deco, sculpture, paintings and drawings from around the the world. Mr. Wilson is a well know cartoonist and creator of the character Ziggy.

"La Paloma." Ceramic verdigris sculpture. Head and an arm of a woman holding a dove on her right hand. The sculpture measures approx. 9"H x 9"W x 4-1/2"Deep. Inscribed "Alvar" on the front and right side. Provenance: From the collection of Tom Wilson, Cleveland, Ohio. 366. Architectural Muse Head From Frieze of The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Building, Cleveland, OH
The beautiful building was demolished in 1989 to make way for the AmeriTrust Center. The building was designed by Knox & Elliot Architects of Cleveland. Head is of ceramic mix, double fired for the ceramic finish. Approx. 23"T x 14"W.

Probably a sterling beak and eye surround with gold wash but marks not found. Glass eyes. Apprx 5-1/2"T. This piece displays a property called labradorescence where it will shimmer blue in a similar way that opal sparkles with color. Attached to a black stone base, bottom signed "GB" and Asprey".

Probably sodalite, unpolished blue stone, finely carved with yellow stone inlay around cabochon eyes and stone beak and tongue. Feet appear to be sterling with a gold wash, however no marks found. detachable from craved and polished stone base, bottom of base inscribed "A". Apprx 6"T.
