Album of eight landscapes, ink on paper in the xieyi style. Each mounted into paper with margins. Images appears to have been folded at one time. This is a very delicate work of tapestry depicting three Manchurian cranes standing in serene water surrounded by bamboo trees. Tapestry is mostly of beige and creme color, with red water berries accents. Margins are of oriental damask with Phoenix medallions, back is reinforced with dark beige damask. An overall view of the most important Buddhist deities like Yamantaka, Heruka, Guhyasamaja, Vajradakini as well as gurus and other wisdom beings, centered around the famous teacher Tsong Khapa, founder of the Gelugpa tradition, who is regarded as an emanation of Manjushri. On the top he is accompanied by Shakyamuni and Maitreya Buddha. Painting on fabric with wove silk border. Framed under glass in a gold toned wood frame, overall apprx 49-1/2"T x 29-1/2"W.

All figures have some pigment. Original inlay wood box with satin lined spaces for pieces. Figurines measure from 4-1/2"H to 2"H. Box measures approx. 3-3/4"H x 19"W x 9-1/2"L.
