This particular watercolor was probably done in late 1890's early 1900's and was purchased from a gallery in Liverpool, England. Untitled nude woman. Ink on paper, signed "H. Keller" on the bottom left corner. Image size approx. 10-1/2" x 7-1/2", framed overall approx. 16" x 12". A Cleveland School artist, Henry Keller had a forty-year career as a teacher at the Cleveland School of Art and also directed a summer school at Berlin Heights, Ohio. He became the first artist in Ohio to achieve distinction in watercolor. By 1913, he was the region's most outspoken advocate of avant-garde art and wrote the introductory essay for the catalogue of an exhibition of French Cubist paintings at the William Taylor Gallery in Cleveland in the summer of 1913. He lectured widely on the defense of European modernism, and two of his paintings were in the New York Armory Show.

Matted, image size approx. 9-1/2" x 13-1/2", matted overall approx. 18" x 14-1/4". According to Christopher Wood's "Victorian Painters" Alfred Woolnoth (1872-1889) was a landscape painter who exhibited at the Royal Academy. He lived in Edinburgh, London, and in Bournemouth.

"Nitrolian." Lithograph, signed "Cappiello" on the lower left corner in the image. Image size approx. 62-1/2" x 46-3/8", framed overall approx. 66-1/4" x 50-3/8". In his advertisement paintings, Cappiello took the approach of making his characters and scenes look anonymous. He would regularly avoid using faces of human characters, preferring instead a dry "less is more" look. The results were always quite successful, and kept Cappiello in high demand. Despite having produced over 1,000 works and developed a highly recognizable style, Cappiello's art is still a bit difficult to classify. Part Belle Epoque and part Art Nouveau, Cappiello's work combines many different styles to form something more unique. Provenance: From the collection of Tom Wilson, Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Wilson's collection spans several decades and includes wonderful Art Deco, sculpture, paintings and drawings from around the the world. Mr. Wilson is a well know cartoonist and creator of the character Ziggy.

Image size approx. 12-1/2" x 12", framed overall approx. 22" x 21-1/2". Julius M. Delbos, born in 1879 in London, England, was a landscape painter, teacher, and lecturer. He was elected an Associate of the National Academy of Design, New York City, in 1945, an Academician in 1948. He was also a member of the American Watercolor Society; the New York Watercolor Club; the Society of Graphic Art; Old Dudley Art Society, London; American Artists Professional League; National Arts Club; and the Century Club.

"Gates Mills." Watercolor on paper, signed "Geo G. Adomeit" on the lower right corner. Matted and in a wood gilt frame with traces of red. Image size approx. 10" x 13-1/2", framed overall approx. 16-1/2" x 19-1/2". Born in Germany, George Adomeit came to the United States with his family in 1883, settling in Cleveland, Ohio where he supported himself as a commercial artist and printmaker. He trained in commercial printing, studied at the Cleveland School of Art, and had a successful printing company known as the Caxton Press. He emerged in the 1920's as one of the region's leading painters of American Scene genre, especially known for industrial subjects. Many of his pictures are in the permanent collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Hand colored engraving on paper, signed "Harold Wyllie" on the lower left corner. The print was published in London, on April 25th, 1927 by Robert Dunthorne & Son Ltd. 5 Vigo St. W. Framed under glass; matted. Image size approx. 8-3/4" x 15-3/4", framed overall approx. 17-3/8" x 23-5/8". Harold Wyllie was a son of famous artist W.L. Wyllie, who specialized in marine etchings. Harold Wyllie was born in London, England, and his father was one of his teachers. Harold fought in South Africa and France.

Randolph was a well studied landscape artist, having spent time at Stevenson School in Pittsburgh, the Art Students League in New York, Cincinnati Art Academy, as well as Rome and Paris.
