Fine leather binding, front cover has inlaid leather with painting and embossed gilt decoration. Spine with five raised bands with decorated compartments and leather title insert. Edges gilt. Spine has darkened and edges of leather. Marbled end papers.

Full green leather with decorated boards, embossed and gilt tooling. Gilt top paper edge. Spine has faded to brown, slight raised bands with decorations. Red end papers, bookplate of Sara Broom adhered. Front portion of book has water stained pages, not affected the painting.
