| 14. Henry Jutsum (English, 1816-1869)
"Guildford Surrey". Oil on canvas, mounted onto masonite board, signed "Henry Jutsum" on the lower left corner, image size approx. 9-1/4" x 13", framed overall approx. 12" x 16". Henry Jutsum was born in London, England in 1816 and studied painting in Devonshire and Kensington as a student of James Stark. He made his debut at the Royal Academy in 1836 at the age of twenty, and exhibited widely during his lifetime. Jutsum passed away in 1869 at St. John's Wood. His paintings are in the permanent collection of major international museums including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. 600/800 Sold $603.75 back to catalog |
