A basalt wash over white base bowl. Adorned with handmaidens from Greek mythology dancing around the exterior in contrasting white-bas relief. This pattern "Dancing Hours" was created by the neoclassical sculptor and designer John Flaxman (1755-1826), it is highly collectible pattern in production since 1775.
