"Slavic Woman". A tall wood sculpture by the Ohio-born artist Sol A. Bauer. Bauer studied at the Cleveland School of Art and exhibited at Art Institute of Chicago and Pennsylvania Academy. Measures approx. 36-1/2"H x 13"W at base. Provenance: From the collection of Tom Wilson, Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Wilson's collection spans several decades and includes wonderful Art Deco, sculpture, paintings and drawings from around the the world. Mr. Wilson is a well know cartoonist and creator of the character Ziggy.
