Painting and calligraphy on paper with gold. Painting of Humayum (1530-56) holding a Durbar and two princes are offering Nazars, or presents. On verso is a quatrain dated "941" A.H. or 1534-35 A.D., written by the most celebrated calligraphist Mir Ali, who was a contemporary of Humayum. Verso also with a Cleveland Museum of Art tag, TR 2233/7. Painting image apprx 8-3/8" x 5-5-8", overall paper apprx 14-3/4" x 9-7/8".
