"Young Musician." Lithograph on paper. Signed "Jules" on the lower right corner. Professionally framed and matted. Image approx. 17-1/8" x 7-1/2", framed overall approx. 24-1/4" x 13-3/8". From an early age Jules was encouraged by his parents to become a musician; however, he decided to teach arts by the time he graduated from Baltimore City College in 1930. He received his first one-man exhibition in New York City at the age of twenty-five. His career as painter, printmaker, illustrator and art teacher spanned more than five decades. Jules' works are included in permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum in New York, as well as many others. 75/150 Sold $80.50 back to catalog |
