In three sections, the bottom section in the form of a tapering column surmounted by overlapping petals surrounded by a three-slated balustrade, supporting a broad-shouldered oviod vase with two applied wave-like borders below ribbed decoration on the shoulders, surmounted by a cover in the form of the stupa itself. Apprx 33-1/2"T (85cm). Thermoluminescence authenticity dating performed by Daybreak Archaeometric Laboratory Services, CT. Report # 574A23.1

Large Ching shape blue vase with exceedingly fine painting marked Kangxi period, circa early 18th century. The vase features gilding of burnished gold. Classic Ching design with deer (meaning longevity) and bats (for good luck) and three friends:Bamboo, Pine, and Prune blossom. Chou symbol "Good Luck" and other Buddhist symbols. Good controlled glaze and thick pottery. Measures approx. 15"T.

This Japanese pottery Raku-yaki box features a Foo Dog on the white-glazed lid with hand painted flowers. The outside of the box features uncontrolled green glaze. Signed on the bottom. This is a very important piece in Japanese tea ceremony. This box measures approx. 1-1/4" tall and 2-1/2" square.

271. Tall Chinese Vase
Very tall vase of a bulbous form with narrow neck and flared opening. The front of the vase features hand painted courtly scene of women with children; calligraphy on verso. On the lower part of the neck there are two red faux handles. Inside of the opening there is a red wax maker's seal. The vase measures approx. 23" tall.
