This lovely hand-painted Italian ceramic lavabo was used for washing hands outdoors. Two of the three pieces make up a water tank with a pierced valve and a spicket and the third piece is the basin where water would fall. The tank measures approx. 21"T and water basin is approx. 8"T. In addition to its original use outdoors, lavabos are used indoors as a decorative motif, often filled with greenery or flowers.
