| 99. John Linnell (English, 1792 - 1882)
"Warkworth Castle". Pencil drawing on paper; titled on the lower right corner; signed "John Linnel" on the back. Matted, not framed. Measures approx. 9-1/2" x 13-5/8". In 1805 he entered the Royal Academy School, becoming a pupil of John Varley, and participating in the naturalist movement of the early 19th Century, making oil sketches from nature along the Thames with William Henry Hunt and William Mulready.
