In 1787, Flaxman moved to Rome where he was Director of Josiah Wedgwood's pottery. Approx. 2-1/4"D. Approx. 2.9 troy oz.

Additional hallmarks unknown include "S.F.", "J.R.".

This luncheon service for twelve features bone candles with carved palmette decorations, silverplated blades and forks decorated with an etched vine design. Blades bear "W & H S" hallmark. This service is neatly stored in a burled wood box decorated with a brass inlay escutcheon. Forks measure approx. 6-3/4"L; knives measure approx. 8-1/4"L; overall box measures approx. 2-1/2"T x 10"W x 12"L.
