Decorative Sevres style hand painted porcelain box depicting two young country men testing tobacco. Signed "Lenoir" on the lower right corner of the hinged lid. Lower part of the box is in powder blue and features hand-painted gilt decorations. Underneath the lid there is a cartouche depicting a beer mug with the phrase "Setaminet Du Bon Bock."Bottom is marked with maker's insignia. Measures approx. 6"W x 1-1/2"T x 3-1/2"L.

810. European Hand-painted Porcelain on Copper Dish, ca. late 18th/ early 19th Century
White porcelain on copper oblong dish with deep well and raised brim. Focus of the plate is on the central medallion depicting an outdoor scene with a a shepherd two cows and a dog resting near a river; medallion is surrounded with thick gilt scrolls and leaves. Brim is decorated with four gilt cartouches with flower sprays. Heavy gilt accents throughout. Copper metal trim on the rim and bottom. Measures approx. 7-3/8"W x 5-3/8"L x 1"T.

Overall concave sides and triple handle cachepot with hand-painted grapevine design and purple lustre glaze which are separated by gilt band. Gilt and black outline grapevine garland over pink background is right below the gilt rim. White glaze interior. Bottom stamped with green Limoge stamp and hand signed by the artist Mary Ms. Gillei. Measures approx. 6"T x 7"D at the base.
