306. A Set of Ten Chippendale Style Chairs, ca. late 19th/larly 20th Century
Mahogany chairs in the style of Chippendale. Gothic carved, interlaced splat with quatrefoil. Top rail suggests a "Cupid's Bow", however with a more rounded appearance and some carving. Stiles are tapered at the top with raised craved edges. Straight legs with a recessed front stretcher, back legs with stretcher and extend outward with the curve of the back rest. Lot includes eight (8) side chairs and two (2) arm chairs. Arm chairs with carved knuckles on "S" shaped supports. Seat frames not upholstered or attached. Approx. 37-1/2"T x 20-5/8"W x 21-1/2"W, arm chairs approx. 26"W.

307. Federal Carved Sofa, New York, ca. 1820
Elegant carved sofa with eagle head arms, reeding and crouching eagle claw feet, on castors. Crest rail in three sections with reed work and soft scroll on back. Fine fabric in an amethyst/blue with pattern and two roll cushions. Furnished on all four sides, workmanship is fine enough to suggest an attribution to Duncan Phyfe. Approx. 35-3/4"T x 96"W (8 feet) x 26"D.

Very nice plant stand with neatly carved foliage design, slightly cabriole legs, a carved square stretcher on the bottom. Feet resemble claws holding a ball. Top features a round insert of nicely veined pink marble. Overall measures approx. 44"T x 20"W.

Impressive wood peg constructed cupboard with carved doors; upper panels with two distinctive portraits, both with wings, lower panel with identical flowers in vases, lower compartment doors have flower bouquet detail. Leafy carved pilasters over large bun feet. Sides with beveled panels, back not finished. Antiques hardware, interior shelves, interior covered in pink fabric. Approx. 5'6"T x 45"W at crown x 2'D.

Covered in antique tapestry, the seat with down swept exaggerated arms ending in a scrolling foliate hand rest, raised on tapered and carved supports and "X" shaped stretcher with center rosette.
