"Tug Boat." Oil on board, signed on the lower right corner, framed in a grey-stained wood frame; oatmeal mat. "Windmill" painting is on verso of the board. Both images measure approx. 7-1/2" x 11-1/2"; framed overall approx. 12-1/2" x 16-1/2." Bernard Lennon was born in Milton, Massachusetts, in 1914, and studied at The Massachusetts School of Art. He later lived and was active in New York City, and in Gaylordsville, Connecticut, where he mentored students in Contemporary Impressionism. Some of his students continue to live and paint in the Gaylordsville area. He exhibited at The Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, New York. 250/350 Sold $241.50 back to catalog |
