| 12. Electrum Pendant, Middle Kingdom 2040-1640 BC
A hollow sheet electrum pendant of Horus the falcon, wearing the Double Crown of Egypt (wire plume now missing), with suspension hole through body. Apprx 1-7/8" x 1-3/8". Purchased at Christie's auction of Egyptian Gold Jewelry, June 1st, 1979. An almost identical piece excavated from a 12th Dynasty private tomb at Thebes is illustrated in Scepter I, fig. 153 and another of the same design is shown in Petrie, Amulets, pl.
