Untitled landscape. Oil on canvas, signed lower right and dated 1922. Unframed, canvas measures approx. 20" x 20". Cowles exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum and had over forty one-person shows, won many awards including a prize in the 1938 World's Fair in New York and a medal in 1925 from the Art Institute of Chicago.
