3. Romano-Egyptian Terracotta Figure, ca. 1st/2nd Century AD

Hollow form terracotta with ventilation hole in back. Molded form of a standing female figure playing a tambourine, beneath which is a slender amphora. Molded hair and robes, fastened at shoulder. Please reference Charles Ede Ltd., catalogue 135: Antiquities, 1985, number 37. Attached to a wood plynth. Apprx 6"T, with base apprx 7-3/4"T. Provenance: From the antiquities collection of a former Yale University professor.
