Leonard H. Reedy was born in 1899, Chicago, Illinois. Such background allowed Reedy to excel in the subject. Clara Elizabeth Sackett was born in Westfield NY. She was a painter and portrait teacher in Buffalo, NY. Around 1897 she studied at the Art League of New York, and in Paris with Arma-Jean and at the Academy Delecluse and Carabossi from 1881-96. She exhibited in Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Boston.
