| 73. Janos Viski (Hungarian, b. 1891)
Cowboy and wild horses. Oil on canvas, signed lower right. Canvas approx. 24" x 36". In a painted wood frame approx. 32" x 44". Viski studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Tivadar Zemplenyi. He made study tours to France and several towns of South America. He started exhibiting his paintings in about 1913. He painted mainly animals and was interested in the problems of motion and form as well as the color effects of outdoor light.
