Two courtly gentlemen, in and interior gaming on a drum. Watercolor on paper, signed in the lower right corner, framed in a very ornate gilt frame under glass, 28-1/4" x 20-1/4" image size, overall with frame 41-3/4" x 33". This is a magnificent tour de force in watercolor, demonstrating the artist's ability to realistically render all the fittings of an interior scene including architecture, furnishings, ceramic pieces and the elaborately dressed figures.

The other has a narrative in which a king backs away from a dinner table with others surrounding him. An elderly man lies on the floor in the foreground while two people attend him.

A Dutch interior. Watercolor on paper, mounted onto cardboard, signed in the lower right corner, framed under glass in an ornately detailed gilt frame. Image size is 12-1/2" x 18-1/4", with frame overall size is 22" x 28". This complex composition is a bright and cheerful Dutch interior scene with women and a child sewing and one woman reading a newspaper. The light through the pair of windows is skillfully shown as it passes through and reflects off the various fabrics. The accoutrements of the interior are also beautifully rendered, including the reflection in a mirror on the wall to the right of the composition. A windmill can be seen in the distance through the window.

"The Actor". Watercolor, signd in the lower right corner, matted and framed under glass, approx. 15" x 9", with frame overall 27" x 20". A slender actor stands beside a fence surrounded by foliage. The face of the actor is in deep shadow from the large picture hat. The lace gloves and the two chantelaines attached at the waist are nice details. This sort of cross-costuming was often done at the time in the theatre. The images of this nature have since become very collectable.
