432. English Grandfather Clock by Jeremiah Standring of Bolton, Lancashire, England, ca. late 18th Century
An English longcase clock by Jeremiah Standring of Bolton, Lancashire, ca. mid-late 18th Century. Approx 7' 11" tall. A Moon-phase dial inscribed Time flies, pursue it man for thy days are but a span. Bonnet top with three brass eagle embellishments. Half carved and fluted columns, carved front with squared base with canted corners. Two octagonal medallions with inlay of fruitwood in floral decoration. Fine inlay work of diamonds and squared corners. Some repair to cabinet and wear to feet. Lock mechanism does not work. Ex-collection: The Austin Company, Cleveland, Ohio. The Austin Company was founded in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1878 by Samuel Austin. The headquarters remain in Cleveland, Ohio. Austin operates through offices located in major U.S. cities and London.

434. Art Nouveau Tiered Table
A free-standing divider with two shelves. Carved walnut wood panel with open work floral sections and beveled glass. Round central glass surrounded by smaller panes and open work roses on the stem. Two curved shelves with intertwined wood legs, resting on soft cabriole legs. Shelves have open carved swirls at each end. Flat panel is sectioned at the bottom with end open carved with blooming roses. Both front and back are identically carved, with the front extending slightly further than the back. Panel approx. 5'11-1/2"T x 5'7"W. Shelves approx. 8'6"L x 2'10"D.
