A lot comprised of three studio sketches of male models by "Goodsell", dated '09, and one studio sketch of a male model signed "Linley". All are charcoal on paper; the Linley with white highlighting, all are signed near the lower edge, framed with glass. Two of the Godsells are framed as a pair in simple gilt frames, 23-1/2" x 10-1/2" sight size, with frames overall 25-1/2" x 12-1/4", the third Godsell is framed in a simple wood frame, 22" x 16" sight size, with frame overall 25" x 19", the Linley drawing is 24" x 9-3/4" sight size, with simple white painted antiqued frame 26" x 11-3/4".

Born in Cleveland Ohio, Paliwoda was recruited by the Disney company and started animating in 1933. A WPA artist, a mural titled "Out of the Past, the Present; Out of the Material, the Spiritual" (1933-4) is in the permanent collection of New Deal/WPA art of the Cleveland Public Library, Tremont location.
