Received his formal education in Samara Art School, he specializes in landscape, still lives, and portraits; however, his most popular subjects are country landscapes. He regularly participates in all the major exhibitions of St. Petersburg and Moscow.

"Chocolate". Oil on masonite, signed with all information in Cyrillic on verso. Not framed. Measures approx. 14" x 16". Sergey Bulatu was born in 1957, in the town of Semipalatinsk, Kazahstan. From 1977 to 1982 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia, which is also where he held his first exhibition in 1978. In 1989 he participated in an arts exhibition in Kishenev, Moldavia. In late 80's and early 90's Buzatu worked as a freelance artist throughout western Europe. In the late 90's Sergey Buzatu was painting icons at the Mercy of St. Vincent Monastery, Ukraine. From 1999 to 2003 Buzatu completed the commissions from the Ukrainian government officials.
