“The Port of Liverpool”. Mid-20th Century hand colored restrike engraving on paper. Originally engraved by Carter, ca. 1841. Approx. 36-1/4” x 48-1/2” overall in a fancy burlwood frame. Ex-collection: The Austin Company, Cleveland, Ohio. The Austin Company was founded in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1878 by Samuel Austin. The headquarters remain in Cleveland, Ohio. Austin operates through offices located in major U.S. cities and London.

Due to its size, these engravings are no longer printed from the original plate, making the piece rare to find.
