43. Three Russian Icons, ca. late 19th/early 20th Century

All three icons are with hand wrought covers; heavily varnished pigment on board. The first icon is of St. Martyr and Healer Pantheleimon, the cover reveals the saint's face and hands. Measures approx. 9" x 7". Second icon is a reduced scale copy of the famous Kazan Mother of God painted in 1579. The original was said to be with the Russian troops freeing Moscow from the Poles in 1612 and a copy of the original was with the Russian troops during the 1812 fight with Napoleon. Measures approx. 5" x 4-1/2". The third icon is of Jesus. Measures approx. 5-1/4" x 4-1/4".
