An interesting pair of 18K yellow gold ladies' post earrings. The cast shape is a fine relief of an upside down stalk of lavender finished in a matte finish on all but the bottom tip, which is highly polished. Each is surmounted by a bezel-set, apprx 3pt. round white diamond. Stanitz was a full time Professor in the School for American Crafts' Metals/Jewelry Design Program at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. He is now involved full time in his studio in Northern California designing and producing his gold work.
