286. Valmore Gemignani (Italian, 1879-1958)


A handsome cast bronze inkwell in the form of a laborer with a sledge hammer among some rocks. The largest rock has a hinged lid where the inkwell insert was housed. The overall size of the piece is approx. 9-1/4"H x 10"W x 5-1/4"D. The base is of irregular shape and has the impressed signature of the artist.

A cast bronze bust of a woman; very nice patina; signed "Kuhne Beveridge" on verso mounted on a wooden base. Base bears a sticker from the Kellman Auctioneers, Austin Texas. Overall with the base measures approx. 11"T.
