A handsome antique wooden statue of an elephant, probably made in India, approx. 21"H x 26"L x 11"W, with a headdress, collar and saddle cover, painted in polychrome pigments, made in pieces with the legs and trunk attached with wooden pegs. A very striking decorative piece.

A vintage Oriental cloisonne incensor, in cobalt blue and ivory color enamels over a cast metal body with a chased brass finish, with applied handles in the shape of demon's faces with rings, and applied feet, also demon faces, with a pierced lid surmounted by a metal Foo Dog, overall 7"H x 4-1/2" diameter.

A Chinese cloisonne teapot, the body of which is a bamboo shape, made in polychrome cloisonne over copper, the designs representing vases, trays, teapots and florals in cobalt, red, green, yellow, ivory, and with an overall aqua background. The teapot measures approx. 5"H to the top x 3-1/2" in diameter of the body. The bottom of the teapot is impressed with Chinese characters.

A Chinese cloisonne vase or candle holder, on a mound shaped base tapering to a tubular column with a graceful neck and flaring top. The surface is covered with a black background enamel on which are strewn small blossoms in pink, white and blue. There are butterflies in the design on the neck as well. The black background has irregular dots of rosy glaze with gold dust. The interior is glazed in turquoise. The piece measures 8"H x 4" in diameter at the base.

An 18th Century Chinese Export porcelain cup, in light grey color porcelain with a clear glaze, with hand painted decoration depicting a scene with a courting couple seated in a landscape; he playing a stringed instrument and she holding a manuscript. They gaze happily at each other. A cupid with his bow and a small animal lurk behind the tree, adding to the charm of the light-hearted scene. All of the hand painting is done in black with the exception of the hands and faces which are outlined in carnelian red.

A pair of porcelain plates, ca. late 19th Century/ early 20th Century, each with a flaring rim and on a 1/4" foot, 9-3/4" in diameter, the front face glazed in cinnabar red with silver embellishments depicting dragons in the clouds surrounding a central geometric design. Each with hand painted Japanese characters marked on the underside.

A beautiful pair of Chinese celadon Famille Rose bowls, the outsides glazed in a soft blue-green clear glaze, hand painted with delicate floral motifs appearing to grow out of the base. The bowls measure 6-1/2" at the top rim, 2-1/2" at the footed base, each is marked with Kuang Hsu in red calligraphy on the base.

An antique Chinese porcelain bowl, ca. 19th Century in the Kangi style, with a flaring lip and a deep foot, with blue glaze decoration, the lip done in repeated floral motifs, the inside bottom a circular landscape with a traveler on a bridge, and the outside a landscape with travelers approaching a tavern with a flag flying. The outside body also has Chinese characters telling of the narrative of the scene and is marked on the bottom as well. The bowl measures 6-5/8" in diameter at the lip, 2-1/4" diameter at the foot, 2-3/8"H.

This lot would be a very good start for a new collector of Orientalia.
